Q: Do you sell residential data?
A: We specialize in business-to-business data.
Q: How much do your lists cost?
A: The price is mostly based on quantity, except when customized work needs to be done, for which there is a nominal fee.
Q: Do you have contact information?
A: We include full contact information with each record where available, which includes a first and last name and a title. Please see our Business Lists for an example.
Q: Do you have contact information for every record in your database?
A: We currently have contact information for approximately 85% of our records.
Q: How recent and accurate are your lists?
A: We are currently using our sixth generation of data that is only a few weeks old. Our business data is updated on a quarterly basis. This allows us to have the most accurate data available in the marketplace today.
Q: Where do you get your business data? Are you a reseller?
A: Our business data is collected and refined entirely in house, from a variety of different public sources. We do not purchase such data from other companies and pass it on to you.
Q: How do I receive my information?
A: We can send your information in an emailed file, or we can burn the information to a disk and send it by courier.
Q: How fast can I get my list?
A: As soon as payment is received, most lists can be sent the same day with the exception of specialty requests (i.e. radius mapping).
Q: What is radius mapping?
A: It is a process by which we can pinpoint the exact location of a business and use that to generate a list of businesses in a radius specified by the client.
Q: What format will my list be in?
A: That is up to the client. We commonly provide text-based files (comma or tab-separated), Microsoft Excel worksheets, Microsoft Access databases or Filemaker Pro databases. Other formats may be available if your organization has more specific needs.
Q: How do I pay for my list?
A: We have provided clients with three easy options. Money orders, bank drafts or certified cheques can be used. We will eventually enable customers to use credit cards as well.
Q: How much mail can I expect to be returned from my direct marketing project?
A: The industry standard is a 10-20% return rate. Feedback from previous clients has placed us between 4-7% mail returned.
Q: How long is the data good for once I purchase it?
A: At the time of purchase, the data is as accurate that anyone can provide. However, we recommend that the client use the information within four months of purchase to achieve optimal results.
Q: Are you really a Canadian company, or just the Canadian division of an American company?
A: We are a completely Canadian company that started out helping other small businesses and non-profit organizations achieve success in their direct marketing campaigns.
Q: How do I know that a direct marketing list will help my business?
A: Research has shown that utilizing direct mailing lists is the most effective way to earn new customers, achieving greater success rates than fax broadcasting and email campaigns.

A: We have developed the most comprehensive list of small businesses available that allows you to target you customer base more effectively. This, combined with our excellent customer service, is why we feel we are the best provider of business data in Canada today.
Q: Can I purchase emails or fax numbers only?
A: Yes. We have over 640,000 emails and fax numbers available.
Q: Do you sell non-profit organization lists?
A: We specialize in business information but also carry thousands of not-for-profit groups in our databases.
